According to the Gansu Provincial Health Commission, the National Population Health Development Research Center has recently conducted a survey and evaluation of the implementation of the National Basic Public Health Elderly Health Management Project and the participation of village doctors in the construction of a healthy old-age care mechanism in our province. The research team believes that our province has a strong, solid and effective organization of health management services for the elderly, and the coverage of health services for the elderly is continuously expanding. The health management rate for the elderly over 65 years of age has reached 67%.
Since the implementation of the National Basic Public Health Elderly Health Management Project in 2009, our province has strengthened organizational leadership, formed expert teams in strict accordance with the requirements of the project, and is equipped with public health service specialists at the village and rural levels, free of charge for the elderly over 65 years of age Health check-ups, carry out lifestyle and health assessments, physical examinations, auxiliary examinations, establish health records, provide family doctors with contracted services through proactive home visits, appointment visits, and emergency visits to achieve early prevention, early detection, and early treatment of elderly diseases Diagnosis, early intervention and early treatment continue to expand the coverage of health services for the elderly.
